Advice and recommendations:
-  In case of an emergency or accident, tell the lifeguards, call the local police (091) or call 112 (the emergency service number)
- Keep your belongings or valuable items in sight at all times
- Take care when walking along the beach and you should use footwear to avoid your feet getting cut, scratched or burnt
- Use suitable footwear in the footbath and shower areas
- Do not discard cigarette butts or ash in the sand or in the sea

- Do not swim far out from the shore if you cannot swim well.  Always be careful and do not get out of your depth
- Make sure you do not swim right after eating and if you have eaten recently or been sunbathing for a long time, you should enter the water gradually
- Do not swim far out to sea.  If you are dragged out to sea by a current, do not try and swim against it. Swim parallel to the beach: it will be easier and once you are out of the current, you can make it to the shore
* SUN:
- Avoid spending too much time in the sun
- Be very careful when out in the sun.  Use sun cream, cover your head, use sun-glasses, sun umbrellas and keep out of the sun when it is at its strongest (2.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m.)
- During the first few days out in the sun, you should build up your sunbathing gradually and always use sun-cream with the right protection factor for your type of skin
- Take great care to protect children under 3
- Drink a lot of water even if you are not thirsty to make sure you do not get dehydrated
