Antico Ospedale Militare

This hospital, which was used to treat sailors from the Navy, began to be built next to the Chapel of Santo Ángel in 1667.
It is a rectangular Baroque building, organised around three courtyards with arcades supported by white marble columns. The main façade has an entrance in the centre that is contemporary to the construction of the building.  The entrance is made out of two pilaster structures decorated with coats-of-arms with a curved pediment as the finishing effect.
At the end of the 20th century, the whole building underwent extensive refurbishment, which changed part of its original appearance.
